Paraclimbing Camp 2022

Glenmore Lodge July 25th - July 29th.

This is a unique opportunity for young disabled climbers aged 16-25 to experience a range of outdoor climbing and mountain venues as part of a residential experience. The camp is a collaboration between Glenmore Lodge and Able2Adventure bringing together our different areas of expertise.

The focus here is on fun, socialising and pushing your abilities. If you are working towards your Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, it can also count as the residential element.

Camp Details

  • Staying in our own private lodge at Glenmore
  • Climbing at local outdoor crags with a possible sea cliff crag (weather/tide allowing)
  • Indoor climbing coaching
  • A mid week Rest and Relaxation session to be decided by the young people
  • Gorge Walking
  • A Mountain Day (your chance to experience your first mountain scramble or multi-pitch climb)
  • Fully catered
  • Celebratory meal on the last night
  • Evening activity programme

Why choose this course? You get to climb with 5 instructors to a group of 6-8 young people. This amazing ratio means that we can really focus on the individuals needs. As long as you can walk for short distances over rough terrain, and have experienced climbing before this could be the course for you.

Able2Adventure staff will be staying overnight with the young people at Glenmore Lodge and assisting with any independent living support needs you may have.

Cost

£675 per person
