Paddle-ability

This course is a national CPD module accrediteted by the Scottish Canoe Association.

Learn adaptive paddling techniques, approaches and boat transfers systems that can be used in a wide range of paddle sports.

We run this training both as an open course at water sports venues across Scotland or as private bookings for centres and organisations.

What does the course include?

• Disability terminology
• Barriers to participation and how to reduce them
• Overview of physical and learning impairments
• Adaptive communication techniques
• Venue assessment (understanding your site as well as what the participant may want to know)
• Use of specialist equipment in paddling
• Transfers to water craft
• How to plan an inclusive session
